0 - Jones tells stories about her four years in Miami. She ran into a man on a crowded street who offered her a job as a cook, who said of her, "She looks like somebody that will work." Bessie took a gun along, but his house was full of children she came to love, and the pay was the best she'd ever had. She stayed for nearly five years.
