0 - "This is another example of how fortunate Americans are to have British melody and African rhythm combining into their national musical language. To anyone who has doggedly skipped through this play on a hot asphalt playground, the Sea Islanders' swing through this old chestnut will be a revelation. Mrs. Jones says, 'to measure your love', you take a piece of paper (about the size of a small envelope), hold it by diagonal corners up to the breast of your partner, 'measuring' by raising or lowering your hands in a seesawing motion, so that one corner is up and then the other." --Step It Down [Source: Step It Down book]
